I've been thinking about this since I saw the thread not long after you posted it Yola.

I've had real difficulty deciding what to choose and I still can't really decide on any domestic item, they're all so useful. Yes, the toaster, ditto the coffee-maker and the bread maker, and the little mini food-processer-whisk thingy.

In the end I've settled for a rather more personal item. I absolutely couldn't live without my electric toothbrush! I love it! (my least favourite item - the bathroom scales, they LIE!!)

Lol, when mine died quite a few years back I simply ............didn't replace it!!

So true! I haven't had bathroom scales for about 20 years I can tell by how my clothes fit (or don't as is the current case) as to wether I need to watch the weight
