Miss Oh So Insistant!!!

OK, so I gave cloud a few cat treats - ones I know she really likes - earlier on. Now I've got a young one begging and pleading with me to give her some more!!! She's already been in and rippd the packet in several places - though I think I got to her before she actually got any of them that time. And she' been trying to get onto the top of the book case I was keeping them on (now removed to on top of the fridge...). She's gone via the top of the cat carrier, and plain running up the wall!

Am guessing that 'thats cats for you' but...

Do I just not give her cat treats if she's going to act like so after having some, or what?

Yum! She obviously loves them and if that's all they are, they won't harm her ..... guess it's whether you can stand her extreme behaviour! Never heard of such a reaction before.

tbh I think it's probably just extreme take of 'well if you won't give me some I'll go get them for myself' but... On the other hand, it's great to see her purring just cause I've got the packet in my hand!!!

You could use them as a game of hunt the treat! That's if you can hide them without her getting to the treat beforehand. Very enriching for her hunting behaviour.

Are you SURE she can't get to the top of the fridge? Ms Leia, not the most athletic of cats can get to mine, knock over the box of treats and have a go at it before I can catch her Let her enjoy them, a high point of her day.
