Re: can't meaow!

Hi there - I have two kittens (sisters) one is very vocal and meows, chirps etc. The other is totally silent.

I have had cats in the past that didn't make any noise. My last cat Alfie purred silently. You had to put your fingers against his throat to feel him purr.

I don't think there is anything wrong, just some are silent others not.

My little Piplet is a very gentle purrrrrer. You can feel the vibrations, but that's about it. Occasionally he says mrw!

Some cats are just quiet ... some will talk your ear off! As long as he's well and happy, don't worry about it.

My dear old girl Beauty never meowed, don't think she could. Some cats are quiet like DM said, others will meow and meow (like my Dylan will)

I didn't hear Cassie meow until she was about 3 or 4 years old. She doesn't meow very much even now ....... only when she wants her food!

Re: can't meaow!

My Leia is one of the very soft purrers ,,, need to touch her throat to tell she is. And Dandy had a huge purr for a small cat ... it really is a very individual thing.
