Just back from the Vets

Purrdie has just had her first visit to the vet. She was micro chipped after the scare she gave me!
He put it in between her sholder blades, God it hurt me LOL didnt seem to bother her much. Mind you the vet said to take her back to check it doesnt move. He also saiid it could come out in the next 24 hours
.
Ive had dogs done but never been told that before

C-Fur is going back on Thursday. He's been really sick today. Dont know why
Over protective Mum or what

Re: Just back from the Vets

I do know the micro chips can migrate to other parts of the body Jac I always have my dogs scanned at booster time to make sure the chips are still where they are meant to be

Re: Just back from the Vets

The only reason it could pop out is if it hasn't been inserted properly. I've been microchipping for years now & never had a problem with any chips I have inserted, (touch wood!) but have known people to be not very confident with the gun & not insert the chip correctly under the skin -

If it was done by your vet - it will have been done properly & will be fine

She is fine. It did bleed for a bit though.

As for the vet? Not sure about him. Will have to see what he's like with dogs.
