Beam Me Up, Scotty! er .... maybe not yet!

Thought this may interest!

However, the little poem by Douglas Adams (one of my heros) goes through my mind...

"I teleported home one night
With Ron and Sid and Meg;
Ron stole Meggie's heart away,
and I got Sidney's leg."

Liked that! Never knew the poem before: shades of The Fly! Wouldn't teleportation be a marvellous thing: I could pop into a booth nearby, dial up your location and arrive for tea with you and Merlin! And vice versa!

It would be really great Eileen - you know you're always welcome if you happen to see that booth!

And now that the garden is beginning to come to life I'd come bearing as bit of fresh catnip for dear Merlin! Leia pays no attention to the dried, and eats the fresh instead of rolling in it and getting silly ... she is a strange girl, but my baby..

I did look for catnip seeds and couldn't find any anywhere in this country! Merlin (and dear Smudge) were fools for catnip. I once bought a plant, but they loved it to death and it never recovered.

On the teleporting topic - has anyone read "The Time Traveller's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger - I think I included that in my best 3.

Angie, try the plant in a hanging basket; that works for me! And it will re-seed itself; you can save the seeds and start more plants for next year. And does anyone know the old saying about catnip:

If you set it, the cats will get it;
If you sow it the cats won't know it.

So true. I'll look for that book at the library Saturday......

Hanging basket - of course! I must go to the nursery and get some plants anyway - just waiting for this beastly frost to go away.
