Re: Fairy and her babies

Awwww - well done Fairy and Sarah! They are lovely - what a proud mummy!!

What colours are you expecting from this mating?

Be careful of jumping in to hand feed too soon - I think Kay has posted about it before in the breeder section.

Keep us posted

Re: Fairy and her babies

Hi Charlie
The proposed colours from this mating are:

Red, Cream, Seal and Blue males as dad is seal and carries blue and mum is Blue tortie bi colour

And seal and blue colourpoints and blue and seal tortie girls.

Two of them have really pink noses so i am thinking they may be bi colours but it is still early to tell.

I've taken the advice of my vet and breeding mentor before I started to hand feed the kittens so there should be no problems with it i hope. But the kittens are more settled and mum is feeding them better because they are less squeaky. Fingers crossed we are sorted now

Re: Fairy and her babies

Here are some new pictures of the babies. They are much better and a lot clearer hope you like them. After double checking them it looks like Fairy has two little girls and a little boy. Unless of course the sex change fairy visits but they look very clear. Just have to bide my time now for the colours and patterns which we should know in a couple of weeks or so.

A good shot of their tiny little faces

Re: Fairy and her babies

Well sadly we have had a set back. Fairy didnt develop her mammary tissue in order for her milk ducts to fill up and she has no milk Despite being given things to stimulate the milk flow it hasnt worked.

I have been hand feeding these little sweeties since yesterday every couple of hours. She does the poopy bums and cleaning aspect of things and i provide the food lol

Fingers crossed though its all heading in the right direction even though it is early and i dont want to tempt fate. The babies are feeding well. Two have the syringe and one prefers the bottle lol. They have gained weight. Not a vast amount but i suppose it would be different if they were constantly suckling from mum.

Roxie is due her babies today so i am hoping that once she is settled with her kitten she might be happy for me to pop the babies across every once in a while for a good feed to top them up and keep their strength up.

Please everyone send strong healing vibes for these babies to make it and pull through

Will keep you all posted.

Sarah sending strong healing vibes by the bucket load. Not the news I was expecting. I'm sorry.
Lets keep our fingers crossed that Roxi will feed them for her.
Good luck for today with Roxi.
