Mauve Monday

Morning all! Beginning to cloud over here, was nicer earlier. OH is out with Monty - I think (hope) he won't overwalk the poor boy this morning. Yesterday Monty was run around the garden instead of doing his evening walk and he seems a lot better for it this morning. Perhaps extra training and less walking, even though it's mostly off lead, could be the answer to him stopping and refusing to go any further. I know how he feels!!!

Just about to turn out my shoes. I have some that I haven't worn since I gave up "going out" to work - so over 8 years old. There is a local shoe bank, so any that still look decent will go there.

Have a good day folks!

Morning all. Angie does Hbby know that it can be damaging to walk a Pup too far ? I think it can strain the joints as can jumping.
We are going to ringcraft classes tonight as i'm toying with the idea of showing . I think i'd like to do the odd show with them as we like going to meet with other basenji owners at shows anyway.
Hello Emma, nice to see you, sounds like your bungalow will be nice when finished, we have a loft conversion in ours.

Re: Mauve Monday

Hello all, what a lovely morning, Morgan was a bit of a coiled spring again on his street walk, such a change from the perfect boy of yesterday! OH is up at daughter's house cutting the lawns, they work long hours and it's quite a big garden but I hope they realise how lucky they are to have his help.

I'm a bit behind with things this morning, haven't done the crossword yet! Leftover roast pork for lunch, think I'll have it in a sandwich with some homemade wholemeal bread. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Re: Mauve Monday

Me too also, lynz!

Hi people! Sunny and cool this morning after yesterday's torrential downpour and violent t'storm in the afternoon as the cool front came thru. Its almost 10:45 am and only 22 C (72 F), much below average! Won't get back to normal till Thursday. No news, all's quiet as usual; just out for grass and down the hall to the greenhouse to check on my surplus plants.

Angie, hope the little guy is OK today. Emma, nice to see you back, how are the cats, and what are you doing to the loft? MrsH, you're really using your new breadmaker, aren't you? Shelley, apparently showing is addictive, at least my friends who did told me!

Hope it's a lovely sunny day for all!

Re: Mauve Monday

Hello all!

I very happily finished work at 2pm, having had little to do most of the day (and not having felt much like working int he first place!!!)

Cloud seems to be enjoying her birthday - which has included some sun bathing (gone overcast now, but never mind), gazing curiously at bubbles, a breakfast of mackerel, and a little brushing - she's due more of a brushing later on, and I'm just about to go get her some 'prey' to play with (some of her favourites given to her while still in the almost empty packet).

Not quite sure what else we'll put into the day, but...

I'd be interested in those pics too Linz...

Hope everyone has a good day!

I'm all dressed up and nowhere to go
We had decided to go to ringcraft classes tonight after phyching (sp) myself up for a few weeks. Now after a showere and change of clothes i notice that it's a mini rally/show every 4th monday. I feel all deflated !
