Humungous scallion!

I harvested the overwintered scallions yesterday; was amazed at the size of this one; have never seen one this big. Looks almost like a small leek. I've grown them for years. This is next to a regular size one from the market. Super scallion?

Gracious! It is a biggy - I wonder whether it will be tough when you eat it (you are going to eat it?) or whether it's just a big normal onion that will taste as others do? Do let us know!!!

No, it wasn't tough at all! Sliced it for my miso soup at lunch along with the shiitake and noodles. The other ones are normal size.
