Re: Smudgley how the biking going

Hey Kazz, it's going great (even got a bike avatar now) Been cycling for 4 weeks now approaching week 5. We are cycling 4 or 5 times per week, covering between 5 and 12 miles each time.
Went on a lovely ride yesteday, on an old railway track, so mostly off road, mud, dirt, wet & sweaty but all good fun. Did 8 miles yesterday.

I am however going to my first spinning class tomorrow evening.

I'm going to a spinning class in about 15 mins. Not sure that is a good idea TBH, but will give it a go, it's how my mate got fit.

The girl down the road from me is goes to spinning classes
she wants to join the police and has started a get fitter campaign. She tires me out just watching her, don't know how fit they need to be (I'll ask when I see her) but I tell you I think she could give the SAS a run for their money.

I survived the spinning class.

I have a mountain bike, John has a hybrid bike. Kind of half road bike & half mountain bike, they are very popular.
.... if you'd have suggested to me that i should ride a bike 6 months ago, even 3 months ago I'd have laughed my head off... now I just love it, love it, love it.

Go and get one Kazz.

We got our bikes from Halfords - I was told by a very experienced biker that they are good value for money and well made for casual use.

Been to the spinning class again tonight (friend told me it would be a harder class - she forgot to mention it was the advanced class) however it was great, a really hard workout. Loved it.
