Re: Wii Fit

OK, complete 180 degree turn here . . .

BUT - I think I will buy a 'family' Christmas present for all of us of the Wii and Wii Fit. Thing is, I can't work out what I need. Do I have to buy Wii + Wii Sport AND the additional Wii Fit module? Do I need any other handsets/remotes?

As you can tell I'm totally useless at this gaming stuff so those of you who have one . . . help please LOL!!!!!

You will need a Wii console, Wii sports pack and Wii fit balance board. Stocks were low everywhere but I managed to get mine from amazon in germany. Reasonable priced too.

Re: Wii Fit

Got my Wii fit from Game, have been after one for ages and was in Game for something different and just thought i'd ask, they thought they didn't have any but someone found one in the stock room, unfortunately got my wii fit two days before my hysterectomy so i'm now really frustrated that i can't go on it, but it's still fun to watch everyone else making fools of them selves!!!!

Re: Wii Fit

I'm always a bit slow on keeping up with trends, but OH has bought me Wii Fit and Sport as an early birthday present. I am enjoying it so far and wondered whether people who posted above are still using theirs and whether it has helped them get fit or fitter?

Re: Wii Fit

Well, OH has set up the Wii and I've had a couple of plays on it. Thus far I love it, though I think some of the moves need a lot more practice than I've given it so far. It gave my Wii Fit age as 38 yesterday, which I'm sure is an error but it made me very chuffed! I've had one bout of boxing, which I loved - hidden aggressive traits maybe? - but it was very energetic and tiring.
Did I tell you that an exercise and movement specialist (with a doctorate in that area and a one time national adviser; currently specialising in stroke recuperation) told my OH that the Wii Fit is potentially the greatest anti-aging device yet developed. He says it is infinitely better than going to the gym. Makes it sound very worthwhile, doesn't it?
