Cat Pheremones

Sorry folks I have another question!

What do you make of cat pheremones, such as feliway?

I thought it could be good for me bringing the kittens home for the first time in cat carrier (18 miles journey home in car). I was also going to spray some around the house or get the plug ins to help them settle in.

Are they worth the money and do they work?

Thanks! Really appreciate everyone's advice

Laura xx

Re: Cat Pheremones

I've never used Feliway, but many members here have. From what I've read it really does work to calm many of them, a few don't seem to react, and one fellow actually disliked it and sprayed the dispenser! I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try myself if I ever was in a situation where I felt it would be helpful.

Well we got our gorgeous kittens home yesterday! I really think the Feliway pheremone spray helped! They are really quite relaxed, and have been drawn to where I sprayed it - ie litter tray, scratching post, bed.
They are just adorable! I'll get pics of them up soon - sister and brother kittens called Roxy and George xxx

Re: Cat Pheremones

I only used it the once, but Dylan actively disliked it and like DM said sprayed the dispenser.

I know from my voluntary work that the majority of cats settle better with it.
