Hehe, nope Hestia is my first experience. K always teases her and says "But all you're doing is wiggling your butt!"

Re: Neutered boys

Tom still sprays sometimes and he's been done but like everyone says it doesn't smell as bad.
When his back legs worked better he jumped onto the kitchen work tops and sprayed , absolutely shocking and even worse he has on occasions backed up to us and sprayed.
We watch very carefuly when he starts backing up to us or visitors, well depending if we like them or not

Re: Neutered boys

My first boy sprayed in the house. But as above not smelly. None of my other boys have but I've seen them spraying outside.

Two of my girls have done the wiggle dance!!

Re: Neutered boys

It's the spray that has put me off of a boy cat, but then saw a post about girls hissing and spitting and that made me think about a girl cat. Now I'm so confussed

Get one of each! Two kittens will amuse themselves and give you hours of fun watching them.

Seriously, there isn't that much difference; I have found the boys to be a bit more affectionate; none of mine sprayed in the house, and the girls don't hiss all the time! We're generalizing.

Re: Neutered boys

Spraying is a territorial thing - if a cat feels safe and secure in his home, he is less likely to spray. Well, that's my theory!
