Curtains finished - at last

Thought I'd let you all see the curtains I made for the utility room. Have to admit I'm very pleased with them. It is quite a heavy material so with the lining they hang well and keep the room a bit warmer at night.

Before - nothing at all on window so looked very bare.

After - really brightens the window don't you think?

Thanks everyone. Got the same material to make a blind for the kitchen and small toilet. Hope that doesn't take as long LOL

DM that cactus flowers every year without fail. The one on the left throws out the odd flower, yet they are both treated the same!

Same soil, same exposure....plants do have a mind of their own, don't they? Is that a spider plant next to the blooming one? I have a gazillion of them; can't bear not to pot up the babies.. and like the windchime too!

Yes - it is a very poorly spider plant I rescued from my friend who decided plants were not her thing. As you know they're very forgiving so it'll come. I too like them but I'm afraid mine have taken a bit of a battering from Kinsi who variously eats the ends or lies in the pots!!

There is also a cutting of the cactus that flowers and the other is a mixture of wandering sailor, money plant and mexican hat.

The windchime is very sweet sounding, mum gave it to me. Did you notice the frog and sheep windchimes at either end of the curtain pole? They will go out onto the trees in the summer.
