Up until this year we had a star, but it was a bit pantomine and brassy so this year I've got a more stylised, delicate star which is a bit flower-like . . . see here http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Linea...html?cgid=1102 My Mum has a glass 'finial' for the top of her tree which I have tried without success to replicate for our tree (all her decorations were bought in the 50s and have a super retro feel to them). There are loads of these finials available online in the USA but none that I've managed to find in the UK |

An angel on the miniature tree on the hall table but a star on the tree in the living room. We also have a glass finial which we used to have on the tree-top when we lived in a tiny house and the tree was on a table but its diameter is too small to fit onto a 7 ft tree that we have nowadays. |
