Re: Tom...trying to post picture

Mags and Tom: yes and yes! Came just before dinner. Quite complicated, but managed to get the batteries in (instructions not clear!), and get the language set to English, but couldn't get the date and time set at all...then it occurred to me that I don't care what the date and time is, so just went ahead and took two pictures to see if it was working. A shot of the mantel piece with all the Xmas cards on it (see if you can spot yours!), and one of Leia sitting on the cushion in front of the computer. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot the front garden so you can see my house, try to get Onyx, take some of the amaryllis which are in full bloom, and any of Leia that look good. But I'm very intimidated about the CD that I have to load into the computer before I can upload pictures...brace yourselves for a lot of dumb questions!! Oh, and it doesn't say anywhere in the manual that I could see how many pictures I can take with the internal memory, but noticed that the number on the back went down from 17 to 15, so am asuming it takes 17 pics...?

Re: Tom...trying to post picture

Yay it came!! Yep that could be it 17 pics, but once you have loaded the pics onto the computer you can delete the pictures off the camera anyway...

The disk is just to make your computer recognise the camera..

Go on Eileen give it a go haha!!

Tom xx

Re: Tom...trying to post picture

The instructions for the CD are written for a computer geek!! There's a separate section for Mac users, which I've read until my head is aching and I just went and got a nice cold beer! Am not going to worry about this (well, not too much!) until all 17 pics are taken. It's a nice little camera, though. Brace yourself for a lot of questions, pal!

Hehe, i'm open for all questions!

The setup should be pretty easy just put the disk and and follow the on-screen instructions...

Hope it goes well!
