Yes we do Moli, we get lots. the pears are really sweet. Some of the apples are lovely too. We also have lots of cookers. My mom & mother-in-law share those ones.

Not for me. ......But no I think my husband just gives them a good prune at the end of the summer & that's about it. Hardest thing is picking all the fruit up off the floor

True... remember that bit from Gran's apple-trees. Didn't mind much when I was five and could eat as much fallen fruit as I wanted. Less picky about ripeness then.

Smudgley your tree's bring back some really hapy memories for me. When I was growing up my Mum and Dad had 7 apple tree's (cookers) in the back garden and a pear tree. We used to have a swing from one of the apple tree's, the old tyre and rope kind. Mum made apple pies,, crumbles and froze some for the winter.
