No they dont know what is really wrong. The vet reckons that its something neurological but she does have motor skills, she can wash herself, walk to and use her litter box and now feed herself too.

Dawn has another cat, Pingu, she too was in a very sorry state for quite some time but she is fine now, thanx to the dedication and persistance of Dawn. They reckon it was a meningitis type infection with her. She now eats, sleeps and plays with the others which is really good to see.

Re: Shelby

Message from Dawn regarding Shelby and her vet visit today.

Sean was over the moon.......both he and the vet nurse couldn't get over the difference in her, they thought she looked great
He said he was surprised that she'd improved so much, and he thought the pics of her were great that I sent the other day......fingers crossed she'll keep improving
She's had another jab and he said her left eye is definitely not working properly, she may see shadows but that's it......it's no big deal, she'll learn to cope I think

Re: Shelby

I thought it was about time I updated on my gorgeous babe Shelby. She is absolutely fine and improving daily, she is eating really well and even demolished some chicken tonight I was really chuffed tonight as well because she's been playing with a cat mobile that I hung in her cage.......I used to put this in for Pingu when she was really poorly and she loved it, tonight Shelby kept whacking it round and then chewing on it........another good sign I hope that signifies she's going to make a good recovery I will try and take some more pictures of her......she's a little monkey because everytime I get the camera out, whatever she's doing, she will stop and lie down
