Thanks for your encouraging comments everyone! Pip has only been here a week, so I still have loads of hope ......

How can anyone be without a kitten in the house? Pip is so entertaining, brings laughs and smiles to everyone (including MIL). Shame that "kittenhood" is such a short space of time.
