Business Ideas?

I'm playing with the idea of starting a business - anyone got any business ideas?

*RCR's brain goes on strike*

I don't really have transport (unless you count a bike) so it would have to remain local.

Could you do something to do with the internet, either using e-mail or post?

Not really, writing wouldn't be feasible (and no one would be interested anyway) and with regards to animal care there's already a kennels/cattery nearby and a charity that does dog walking for terminally ill people etc ...

So, whats to stop you doing some dog walking/pet sitting? I know of a few dog walkers who dont have transport.

There's already a boarding kennels here, I think most people use them. I'll look into it though thanks Elaine

Edit: I'm going to keep my eye on this business though Elaine http://www.safeandhound.co.uk/vacancies.php
(they already cover this area)

Re: Business Ideas?

Mmmm... I know I'm on the look out for a good, inexpensive, cat sitting service for those times when I have to go away for a weekend or something. I wouldn't really want to have to put wee one in cattery, or rely on the downstairs neighbour for too much. Seems they come in all shapes and sizes - from house sitting where the minimum time you pay for is 48 hours (makign a time away cost more than £100 for animal) and any variation on the visit pet and look after it twice a day - charge of about £7 a visit - more depending on day and other jobs needing seeing to, plus expenses depending on distance...

Yes but you'd be offering a dog walking service not a boarding service. There is plenty of dogs to walk every where and always room for a bit of competition. As far as the pet sitting side, you can advertise that you will visit once or twice a day to look after cats/rabbits etc.

Re: Business Ideas?

If you took a basic grooming course then you could add that as part of a pet walk/care service?
