Vet kept Mindy in :(

Poor Mindy when she went to vets Thurs they kept her in to do a biopsy for the recurrent hot spots/ dermatitis she takes on her neck/throat. Shes can be a nervous wee cat so found it traumatising. She finally started to come round a wee bit around 1am, by 3am came up to bed giving her the option of coming up or staying downstairs. So Mindy & Misty both snug on the bed beside me

Poor Mindy, that looks sore. Hope she's better soon.
Up with the blackbirds singing for all their worth at this ungodly hour. Cats all begging for food, I didn't fight them but should have I suppose- I'm such a soft touch!

Re: Vet kept Mindy in :(

I had to let her go this morning & do her own thing, keeping her in with us wasnt an option, she was too stressed. So shes been out in the cat run, been feeding & now up in the cat room. I just pop up occasionally to check how she is & make sure no ones annoying her. Very independent little cat

She has six stitches i can count, so they have to come out in 2 weeks.

Re: Vet kept Mindy in :(

We have had a bad couple of days. She has scratched herself raw near the wound then yesterday and today she started "twitching". I didn't like that at all. They think rather than an allergy to her stitches, it is more likely what caused her problems in the first place. Will see how she is in morning and she may have to go back again to the Vets.

Re: Vet kept Mindy in :(

Sorry to read of your setback Velvet. I hope that the vet can help you get to the bottom of what's causing the wound to continue to cause irritation and the rather worrying twitching too.
