Baldness around eyes

Wasnt sure where to put this but Milly has all of a sudden became bald above her eyes and has a few small spots of baldness on her nose. She is not poorly but am taking her to the vet in the morning about it.
Has any one else's cat ever had this and what was the cause and treatment?
Also taking Bernie along to be weighed, he is very boney now but still eating well and was extremely happy to see G again.

Hmmm, it's very bizarre, I am pretty sure they weren't bald this morning.

Re: Baldness around eyes

My cat Rosie is quite bald around her eyes, has been for ages though as she suffers from allergies and on steroids for when it flares up. It's strange that this has come on so suddenly, Elaine. Hope you manage to find out what is causing this.

Re: Baldness around eyes

Thanx Kim, as it turns out it is an allergy, she has had a steriod shot and an atibiotic shot coz her nose looked quite raw this morning. I couldnt think what it could be that she has become allergic to until I remembered that I had changed the brand of cat litter. That's been the only real change so we have changed it back and hopefully it will settle down now.

Re: Baldness around eyes

Bet that's what it is Elaine. I was thinking about that stuff that some people put down on their carpets, but knew you wouldn't use it. Hope that Milly's allergy clears up quickly.

How did Bernie get on?
