Thankful Thursday.

Good morning everyone. Yes, it's me again, back at last. First of all, I must apologise for my absence on the forum.Believe me, I have been thinking of you all.I've been having a dreadful time with Willow, who cannot lift her back legs up at all now.Once I help her up, she can walk OK, although she's very wobbly. The extra pill I'm giving her totally knocks her out all day although she comes to life at night. She's eating well, playing with her toys when awake and barking/growling at people going past. She is still happy and so I'm keeping her while she remains so.I got very down about the whole thing, as I really thought I would have to let her go, but my vet sees her once a fortnight now and assures me that it's not her time yet. She's a lot of work now as I have to lift her back legs up the back steps and she's heavy.BUT while I can still do it, and my back doesn't give out, I'll keep doing it. I still cry a lot as I know that nothing /no one lasts forever but I treasure each and every day I have her with me, but I know that I've got to pull myself out of this depressed state that I seem to have got myself in.Anyway, enough about all that.

I do hope everyone is well and happy. I know you've been having terrible weather lately and I hope you are all OK and that your fur babies are safe too.

PAMELA,how terrible about Barney's fall. It could have been so much worse. Thank goodness he's OK but you must have been so worried about him. AND Skye's eye is all better now. That's great news.I notice Harris is still enjoying the great outdoors. i bet he didn't like the wild weather though.Hope you were still able to get a couple of runs in despite the weather.

SHELLEY, I've been thinking of you a lot and wondering how you are. Hope all your tests are over and the results have all been good for you.I'm glad you find it helpful to go to church. I also love my church, although I should go more often.

YOLA, I'm so sorry about your beautiful Myshka.Believe me, I know how you must have felt and I know how much you must miss him.I hope your young son is OK too. You are very brave, much braver than me.

KAZZ, how are you and Gert? I do hope that storm wasn't too bad for you both and you didn't sustain any damage to your home.Gert would not have liked to go out walking in the wild weather, I bet.

POSH PUSS, I do hope you and Ceri are both well and managed to stay nice and warm during the bad weather.Hopefully, the bad weather is behind you now and you can look forward to a bit of sunshine.

I'm pleased to be back, everyone and I promise I won't disappear again.I really have missed you all.My cats are all well but they don't like the terrible heat we've been having - 33 degrees here the other day, which is far too hot. My air con has been fixed by Elliot, my lovely neighbour and so I have it on in the lounge during the day to about 20 degrees, which is comfortable for all of us.Elliot has refused to take any payment for fixing it because I gave his wee baby a beautiful named blanket (yes, Kazz, I did get the blue and white one which looked super). However I must pay him something so I'll keep pestering him to send me an invoice. My cats go and lie on the tiles on the bathroom floor to get cool. They're not keen on the cool air coming from the air con though.

Well everyone, have a great Thursday. Hope the weather behaves itself for you.

Love to all Catsey kitties, doggies and their guardians.

Re: Thankful Thursday.

Hello Dinky,
Lovely see you back, I understand totally your absence, I too have disappeared sometimes.
I'm so sorry to hear about your problems with Willow but glad she's still enjoying her life and that you are able to have longer with her.
I'm ok, got sarcoidosis in my lungs but as it's not bothering me , the lung specialist has decided to monitor but not treat.
The abnormality in my bladder was inflammation which has been cauterised.
Seeing urologist in a few months to check I'm happy then he will hopefully ditch me.
Please send some sunshine here, its lashing down.

Hi Shelley,
I'm so pleased that you're doing well and there is light at the end of the tunnel for you at last. You've had a terrible time but you've got through it so well done you.
Thanks for your kind thoughts towards Willow. She's my soul mate and guardian angel rolled into one.I do hope your dogs are well and happy, although they won't be enjoying the wet weather.
Sorry about the rain. I'd love a bit of rain here. Our fire risk is extremely high now.Tell you what - you send us some rain and I'll send you some sunshine - how about that?

Stay nice and dry Shelley, and have a great day.
