I think programmes like that and one man and his dog should be on regularly.........family TV viewing.

Re: Showjumping

I used to watch showjumping as a kid . . . loved it even though I've never been a rider.

We did managed to catch some of this on Saturday - Dominik was particularly fascinated as a rider of some 3 years now, especially as he was due his first jumping lesson on Sunday!

Re: Showjumping

Wow Yola - has it been 3 years Dominik has been riding now? Where's the time gone? How did he like jumping?

It does seem like only yesterday when you were taking him for his first riding lesson.

Re: Showjumping

He loved his jumping! I've been nagging them for ages to let him have a proper jumping lesson but it never came off.

He did exceptionally well - particularly as he had a teacher new to the stables who didn't know him. She said his balance was extremely good; and he thoroughly enjoyed it and tells me he's keen to do a gymkhana now!

I just hope he doesn't ask for a pony of his own as that's an expense I just can't run to.

Re: Showjumping

Nah he does not need his own pony he will outgrow it quickly.

So pleased to hear he is doing well though Yola and yes it does seem like only a moment ago, he was starting.
