Love that expression! I call it a bottle brush tail, and all of mine have done it when startled/scared/angry! Leia does a great one!

Our cats have always wagged their tails when happy. It's weird. O_o (Mind you, we do have odd pets.)

Honey will purr, nuzzle against you, enjoy a fuss and his tail will lazily flick back and forth at the same time. My cat Tiger often did the same, but Honey does it more often.

Beauty swooshes her tail when she's having something good to eat (like she wants to hunt it) and I have known her to quiver her tail when being stroked.

Leia twitches her tail as well as her feet when she's in REM sleep .....my others did too.

When we stroke Figo sometimes, he purrs and slightly flicks his tail, not in an aggressive way, maybe because he is thinking up of a mischief to do
