Tuesday daily

Good morning ladies. Tuesday 6:20pm here and it's been raining on and off all day, but not so heavy. Janna wasn't working today ,so we both walked to the local mall and I did my fortnightly shop. Got most of the things I needed. We then shared a big plate of hot chips at Mosaic cafe, which was nice, and bought subway for tea. Neither of us are hungry yet so we'll have our subs later. Tomorrow I'm going to the new World supermarket as the favoured cat tubes are on special there so it's well worth the visit..

I've been having a rough time of it over the past few weeks, but now I'm feeling much better. I have had a first appointment with a grief counsellor who also deals with grief for a pet. It was very beneficial and the woman is lovely. She gave me a few exercises to do and I thought it would be so hard ,but actually once I started, I found it OK and I didn't dwell on it afterwards. - that seems to be a problem of mine. I managed to put away all Willow's toys ,apart from her 4 fluffy balls (which Miracle brings in to me every night) and I put Dickens' chair out of the lounge and into the back conservatory.I'm better if I don't see it all the time . I'm seeing the counsellor next week again and am keeping a diary of my feelings. I'm finding that I'm no longer lying in bed at night crying, so that's gotta be good.

My knees are really aching tonight because of the long walk to the mall today, but I'm going to try and walk every day, despite the pain. They've really flared up since I saw the specialist and he twisted my legs into funny positions. Still, I must remember that there are a lot of people worse off and at least I can walk and am on the waiting list for surgery.

I've had Oren here last weekend. He is no trouble when he's with me but he's very difficult at home. He's now on medication for anxiety but no effect so far. We did some baking and watched the Jurassic Park movies (yes........all of them !!!) The cats aren't frightened of Oren although they don't like the noise of the others. Oren likes Correspondence School, although it's a shame that he's not socialising with other children. Brenna hopes that he'll go back to school next year.

Another one of my wee wild birds passed away on the back lawn on Sunday. The poor wee thing was not flying very well, although it was impossible to catch. I did try, but I doubt if a vet would have been able to save it and I didn't want to stress it. I do hope no one is putting poison down near here. Surely if that was the case, there would be more sick birds on my lawn.

I'm going on to a new network plan which includes 2 new phones and a new modem. We are going to set it up tonight and I'm hoping it won't do anything bad to this poor old computer, which is only barely surviving now. Who knows - it might improve it.

PAMELA, congratulations to Robyn on her success at the dog show. Yes, you must have been a VERY proud mama. I would be too. What about Mia and Loona ? Did they do well also ? I bet you're looking forward to Robyn's rescue training as well. She'll be brilliant. It's great that you're getting a week off together in September. That national museum sounds interesting. No doubt you'll have some exciting place to visit every day and make the most of your time off. i hope you get decent weather as well.

SHELLEY, I hope you're having a really great time at the van, despite the weather. I'm afraid I'm like Pamela - I don't like the sea either, but I know you do and I'm hoping that you might be able to go for a swim at least once while you're there. it sounds as if you're filling in your time nicely and starting to relax. Reading on the deck is my kind of activity. It's a shame Howard has to return to work, but at least you've got Chris and the pups with you, and James and Hannah will join you soon as well as your cousin. it must be a relief to have all your dolls safe once more and your new dining room downstairs will be lovely.. I'm also going to ask my doctor if boron and cod liver oil might help my knees. I'm glad Howard's finding some relief. with them.

Well ladies, getting a bit hungry now, so will go and eat my vege sub.

Have a really great Tuesday, Pamela and Shelley. Sorry about all the spelling mistakes but I daren't go back and correct them in case the whole post gets deleted.

Re: Tuesday daily

Hello ladies.
Dinky, i sent you an email last week, not sure if you got it?
Im gladvyou are seeing a councellor and feeling a bit better.
Could the deceased birds have avian flu.
Apparently there are lots of dead seabirds with it here.
Pamela, Robyn did so well, you must be so proud of her.
A week off in September sounds just the ticket.
Rainy here, so there will be lots of reading done and i need to work on my doll database.
Dont like being in all day though.
