Walking in the rain

Well we are back did not go to the show (I was not showing just going to watch)
I had decided to take the girls for an early morning walk. before I went to the show. So I took them out about 6.30 this morning.

Went a little futher afield to the Clent hills and I tell you although a little light rain (sprinkled with heavy showers ) we have just got back

We had dinner out at a pub, and the girls are now on the sofa - cream crackered. We set off on one walk and finaly got back to the car 4 hours later - glad I took the rucksack -the weather although ideal for dog walking - ie hot weather dog walkers weren't out. The weather was cool but nice. But I was glad I had taken my winter walking jacket (waterproof) and my hat.

Having lunch I looked at the map and worked out we had walked about 22 miles. God knows how many the girls have run

So I did not get to the Notts and Derby show but we have had a great morning/afternoon. We have been over hill and down dale - so to speak. And all adored it. Reminded me of early Autumn walks a lovely day in spite of the rain or maybe because of it.

And I think the "girls" Sal and Tess enjoyed it more than me going to a show, without them.

Karen

Sounds like you all had a wonderful day Kazz....I think I would have like that too!
Don't know about the map reading bit though.....I expect I would be still trying to find my way home

The walks are more interesting after you have done your map-reading in the pub!

It wouldn't have mattered if we had got lost (which I do often) we would have found something/someone eventualy.

Re: Walking in the rain

It wasn't too bad honestly. It was a steady pace nothing to drastic. The girls loved it Ben went back after a while though normally before they came into season - in June I would not have let Tess come the whole walk she was a puppy and he would go back with her after about hour and half - two hours. He went back today - and called Tess but she decided to stay with me - she's a big girl now not sure she was so keen when we went on for another couple of hours but she made it easily.

And Luna is welcome anytime.

Wow... Hmm I doubt I'll ever get walking that far...

But I know wot u mean.. Its not untill afterwards you realise how far and long you've walked

Luna and I need to start training

I honestly think Luna would love it.. She can just keep walking... and when I turn around and go home, she stands there looking at me as if saying: "Wot? Home already?"
