Usually I give in at the yowling. For Darcy, it means he wants picked up and held (he'll fall asleep purring straight away) and for Minsky it means he wants to play with his ball.

Perhaps they're possibly a little bt spoilt? I just like to think they're especially affectionate
What I meant was they don't need as much as a dog.

Misty makes me laugh because she is daft, she has a stupid miaow and makes daft noises.

Chloe snuggles for cuddles and has such a pretty face I could look at her all night.

They both keep me company in the house and my pets (including the bunnies) keep me sane when I am alone.

RCR i'm just being silly I agree, they don't need as much hands on attention as dogs, and can be left alone for longer stretches of time. But when I'm in the house in the evening, they look for attention constantly.

Re: Positive things about Cats

One of the many things we love about cats is that they have their own lives going on beyond ours. They have their own little kitty dramas going on... Where their next cuddle spot is going to be, whats next on the menu, what should I look at next, or maybe even who likes/dislikes who. Cats are very entertaining!

Merlin never has a tantrum - he is my touchstone of calm in a sometimes stormy sea. He has always been a loyal and constant companion. And for 22 years, that's saying something. He doesn't mind if I look awful, if I'm having a bad hair day. He never makes personal remarks. And he's always by my side if I am feeling unwell or sad. Oh and he's the best lap warmer ever!

Cats bring happy smiles when we come home & are greeted by meows, purrs, leg rubs, & tails wrapping around our legs. We are just as happy to see them as they are to see us!
Cats surround us with happiness & love! Life wouldn't be the same without them!
