Re: What are you having for your dinner tonight?

Had one of my favourites tonight, poached cod with grain mustard sauce on mashed potato with braised shredded leek.
Very quick, easy and delicious. Burp!

Re: What are you having for your dinner tonight?

We finished the 'christmas food' last night. Woo-hoo!!!!!!

Well, I've got a few (uncooked) sprouts left, so I'll boil them lightly, mix them with cubed leftover potatoes, pan fry it in a cake, like a higher class bubble & squeak, (! !) and pop a couple of fried eggs each on top.
Mmm, mouth watering already!

Re: What are you having for your dinner tonight?

I wish we had finished the Christmas food, we have got loads of it left, which really annoys me as I always say to the other half, perhaps we shouldn't buy so much this year.

We have got left

Cheese straws
Chocolates
Sainsburys biscuits
Chocolates
Peanuts
Honey roasted cashew nuts
Chocolates
Mince Pies
Christmas Cake
Chocolates
Rum truffle cake
Pringles
Savoury biscuits
Chocolates
Christmas Pudding
Yule Log
Stollen
Orange peel chocolates
Christmas Crisps
Frozen finger food
Oh a few more chocolates

We had a chinese meal in the town at lunchtime so I am just going to finish off my cheeseboard this evening, we were going to have roast beef but I think we have had quite a bit to eat so far today !!!

Re: What are you having for your dinner tonight?

Did I tell you Mags that I have got a few chocolates left over ??? we have TWO big toblerone bars!!! arrrggghhhh I am glad my other half likes chocolate as I really don't each much at all!!!

We could certainly have a few parties with the food we have left over, we were laughing today saying if we got snowed in our Christmas food would last us for a couple of weeks!!
