Who is he to you?


Here's a Christmassy question for you

What name do you use for the elderly, kind and jolly gentleman with a white beard who visits the children throughout the world on Christmas Eve?

I've always known him as Santa Claus as that was the name my parents used when I was a child. I followed on by using the name Santa when my children were small.
My daughter now refers to him as Father Christmas to her children ....... I feel kind of sad that she has dropped the Santa name in the next generation now.

So, how is the great man known to you?

When i was a child we always said Father Christmas, but with my children always said Santa, so now its Santa....

Although I am not Catholic, I used to attend a convent school and always loved the story of St. Nicholas, so Santa Claus it is!

As a child and now I still call him Father Christmas (thats the English way isnt it?) But every so often I say Santa Claus. Think I get that from watchin films like 'The Santa Clause' and 'Santa Claus The Movie' and American Tv programs etc coz my family all say Father Christmas.
