i know but i'm bothered about feeling awkward after. The sensible thing would be to have a diplomatic word but i feel my anger will come through, basicaly at work there are very few people interested in me as a person. I've felt this in several jobs since i lost the job i realy loved and had been doing for 15 years. Ah well ............

Oh that's really sad Shelley and I hate to say that I expect that attitude is widespread nowadays.

Re: Chocolate Burmese Tuesday

Angie, i don't know if it's because i'm part time or what, i always try to be friendly and amenable but you know when i ask most people what they are doing for the weekend or ask if they had a nice weekend , they always tell me but never ever ask what i've been up to. This is only quite a recent thing. In the past i've had a realy good relationship with my collegues.

Re: Chocolate Burmese Tuesday

Sounds as if your colleagues could do with a wake up call - how very selfish of them. Don't suppose there is anyone you feel you could have a word with privately? Things have changed such a lot in the workplace since I "went out" to work.

Re: Chocolate Burmese Tuesday

there isn't anyone i could talk to realy, Angie, besides they aren't realy doing anything wrong. They're just not interested in me as a person
I enjoy working with the children and one or two of the staff are ok. Everyone is pleasant, it's just that i sense i'm not realy part of it.
The money is very poor and i expect to stay there maybe a year.

Re: Chocolate Burmese Tuesday

mmmmmm it's a good thing that you enjoy working with the children - I always thought that I could do any job if my colleagues were great or if the job was great and the people weren't, then that's OK too. The last job I had, I hit the jackpot - great job, great people and then we got taken over when everything seemed to be going so well!

Re: Chocolate Burmese Tuesday

I can see that you could live with it, but still it's not nice to feel unappreciated like that... *hugs*
