Re: Snowy Thanksgiving in WA

We've canceled the trek to K's parents' house...here's a few reasons why...

my tracks are not as dainty, lol

where the truck was parked earlier, lol

Hestia's boyfriend on our driveway

he did not want me to get too close

he went and took shelter under our trailer

losing light, time to head in

Re: Snowy Thanksgiving in WA

Oh wow, you have really gotten it! What a shame to have to miss the Thanksgiving dinner, but better safe than driving in that. Disappointing, but maybe tomorrow if the roads are clear and your driveway's navigable? Poor Hestia's boyfriend, wish he had a warmer place than under the trailer... Beautiful pics, but snow really can make life difficult!

Re: Snowy Thanksgiving in WA

I watched him and at first it looked like he was going to take shelter under our neighbor's house, then he picked our trailer instead. I'm starting to think more and more he just eats in this neighborhood from people who leave food on the porch. Wish he'd let me get a little bit closer.

So sorry you had to cancel Tink, but far better safe.

If anyone can get closer to that cat in time, it will be you!

poor Hestia's boyfriend... Hopefully he'll be dry at least, if not exactly warm...

Gosh, you have had snow. Shame about the dinner but then you had no idea if the weather would get heavier or stop. Better safe indooors.

I agree that poor cat is just begging for you to take him under your wing. His eyes are just so big and worried looking. Poor guy.

Re: Snowy Thanksgiving in WA

Well, you won't believe this but there is almost no trace of snow this morning!! Thank goodness I took pics or I would have thought I had dreamt it up. 46 degrees and overcast albeit dryer and warmer than yesterday.
I do wonder about that cat. Maybe I should start putting food out for him.

What a blessing it's melted. Good riddance! Is there somewhere in the yard you could rig up a little shelter like Shelley's OH did? I know you don't have an old hen house as Angie does.
