My first thought was - confetti

Can sympathise - ours are from a very large [common and definitely not pretty like yours] sycamore. They even block the drains unless you are right there on top of them daily

Our neighbour has one of these and the show of leaves in colour was gorgeous this year. Unfortunately, when the leaves blew off they came tumbling down into my garden as her bungalow is higher up than ours and we were left with the clearing up! Still with such beauty comes a little hard work and I didn't mind at all.
