Snowdrops in bud 29th January

I noticed these buds this morning - I don't know how long it will be before they open, especially with the cold weather that is forecast but I will keep my eye on them!

Please excuse the picture, it is an overcast day here and I didn't use the flash.

My mum died in 1991 and it would have been her 86th birthday today, so these snowdrops are in memory of her.

I love snowdrops - such delicate and evocative flowers.

A poignant date for you; for me too I've just realised. It's 11 years since we lost my Dad Can I borrow a couple of your snowdrops for his memory too please?

What a very sad coincidence Yola. Of course you may share the snowdrops.

Sad day for you both.

I always think snowdrops remind us of new hopes and wishes.

Beautiful Angie, I adore snowdrops, such delicate little flowers. They were my mums favourite, it was the anniversry of her death on 27 Jan, I have some snowdrops in bloom in my garden and they always make me think of her, not that I need a reminder.
