I spoke to Sean earlier and I had to stop myself from crying when he asked if I was alright about booking her in I think the fact he has warned me about it being a risky op......I'm just so worried about her

Re: Has anyone had an operation done on a kitten?

Nicholas had his eye removed at 12 weeks as the catflu attcked his eyes and boy - was it unpleasant, though he never seemed to care.

Eye came out - antibiotics went in, and despite me being conviced that they had stitched his face too tight and being told by the vet - "oh no - its just swelling" they have indeed stitched a little too high and his left side lip is about 2 - 3mm higher than the right. he looks like he is smirking.

And he is a complete nightmare, climbing curtains, walls etc. no complications from the op at all, he just didnt seem to care!!

Update on Keiko.

She had her eye removed last Thurday and she's absolutely fine. She handled the anaesthetic brilliantly and had no problems. When I went to pick her up and she heard my voice she came to the door of the cage, and then flopped over on her back for tummy tickles......she is such a babe She is on antibiotics and she has to have her stitches out on Monday.......fingers crossed her other eye remains okay, they were a little concerned about it but to be honest, it does look better since the other eye was removed.

Keiko was doing really well but sadly the infection got too much for her body to handle.......she died yesterday morning
