Baliero: March 1997 - June 2011

Bye bye my sweetest, gentlest little boy

This morning, just before leaving for work I noticed Balie lying on the doormat rather than his usual towel or soft bed. When I moved him onto his towel he fell onto his side and lay they crying and quite unresponsive.

Rushed to the vet where although better, Balie still couldn't support his own weight and continued to howl. The vet advised that it would be best to let him go; and I agreed. I stroked his tiny little face and he slipped away very quickly.

I am extremely, extremely upset as Balie was my first cat and I had a very strong bond with him. Wish him well please as he wings his way to rainbow bridge with a spring in his step once again.

I am so very sorry to hear that Balie has gone Yola. It is always the worst to lose your first cat who was so well loved (((hugs))) to you and your family.

Play well at The Bridge, dear Balie with other Catsey cats who have gone before.

Re: Baliero: March 1997 - June 2011

Thanks for your kind words . . . bringing tears to my eyes all over again. Although he was a tiny little cat, he has left a massive hole in my life, I know I'm going to miss him so much as he was with me for 14 years.

I'm dreading telling the boys - I have Balie's basket in the car and I know they'll be expecting to see him in the basket when I pick them up in an hours time
