Friday daily.

Good morning ladies.
Friday 4.30pm here. It was raining this morning when i got up but now it's actually sunny outside. Too late to do washing, but I hear it's going to be OK tomorrow before becoming cold and wet on Sunday and next week, so may put through a load of washing tonight and hang it out tomorrow. I've had Brenna here most of the morning. She had her remaining stitches out at 9.15am and her lip and inside her mouth was bleeding heavily and swelling up. Don't know what's going on with my girls - they all seem to have sore faces.Anyway, Brenna left around lunch time and went home to lie down for a bit.The specialist is hoping that it's not going to flare up again. The only thing he can liken it to is a verucca (spelling ???) that you normally get on your foot.At least it's definitely not cancerous. She's seeing the specialist next week again to have another check up.

This afternoon, I managed to get one of Snoddy's matts off without getting bitten, but it was difficult on my own. He really needs shaving all underneath him, but there's no way he's going to let me touch his tummy. I also managed to find another gardener to mow my lawns. I'd do it myself, but i haven't got a lawn mower that works. My previous gardener retired and I did get this other guy, but he wasn't well enough to continue. I want someone to come once a fortnight ,especially during summer, as I've got rather a lot of lawn to do and I really want the weeds up the driveway sprayed as well. Duncan, the new guy, will come round next Wednesday to see the situation. At the moment, gardeners in Christchurch are in hot demand it seems, and it's hard to get one.

More chicken for tea tonight. Gosh, I've got a whole freezer full of chicken .When it's gone, I'm not buying any more chicken for ages - I'm so sick of it.

Jack and Vera are now back every day AND evening, along with another pair of ducks that are coming for food.. Last night, a great big drake came on his own. He was beautiful, but Jack kept chasing him away from Vera. It was interesting to watch the dynamics of the group.

PAMELA, I do hope your dentist visit went well yesterday and your tooth is now fixed or removed. You'll be pleased it's over now, as you waited a long time to get in.Was he a nice dentist you went to ? I suppose you're back at work today after your day off yesterday. Hope your dad is having a good visit to London, or has he now gone off to Germany ? Lucky man.

SHELLEY, sorry it was raining and cold for you yesterday, but perhaps it may be brighter today and the pups will be able to go for a longer walk. At least you had a good ,relaxing day yesterday. I'm glad your boiler has now been fixed. My water cylinder invoice just came in today - just under $200, and that includes the call out fee and the replacement parts, so I didn't think that was too bad.

Well ladies, Janna will be home soon, so I'm going to feed the birds now. It's starting to cloud over again, so will probably rain tonight again. I hope it doesn't for the cats sake though.

Have a great Friday and hope the sun comes out for you both today.

Re: Friday daily.

Morning Dinky and Shelley,

Dinky, i am glad to hear that Jack and Vera have reappeared! Good on Jack keeping Vera safe from the other drake as well.
I hope Janna and Brenna's mouths start to heal. It must be painful for them to eat/drink.

Thats great you managed to get a mat out of snoddy, im sure the groomer will be able to get the rest for you. Thankfully we no longer have grass in the garden, took it away as the dogs were just killing it. Hopefully the new one will become your regular one now.

Im like you, i love chicken!! its all i seem to buy

Shelley, sorry to hear the weather hasnt been great, hopefully you have managed to get a couple of good days where its been dry. How was your lunch with your cousin? I hope you enjoyed. When do you head home?

i went to the dentist yesterday and he drilled the top of my tooth to take it awayso he had a bigger space to be able to fill so thankfully thats all done now. Got my 6month check up boked as well so i can start getting them done again. I am being spoiled this morning. Hunny is away to the roll shop to get us a breakfast roll. I am having a roll with potatoe scone and square sausage!! cant beat it!!

Dad is in London just now, he goes to Germany mid next week im sure.

I better get back to work as i am meant to be working just now. Oops lol!!

Have a great day ladies
