Ah, I see, well thats really NOT a diagnosis for colitis then.
I would suspect that her scavenging is perhaps a result of being dumped and not knowing when she will have another meal rather than a reason for actually being dumped.
My Bernie, also a rescue, is eternally gratefull for any food I feed him, not at all fussy and I put that down to him having to scavenge for food, he was very malnourished when he was picked up but a fine tubby chap now.

Elaine, my Misty was the same; she'd been wandering about the neighborhood for some days as a small hungry kitten before I took her in, and she always remembered the days when there was no food! She wasn't picky, ate everything; her motto till she went to the Bridge was aways "If you see food, EAT IT"! She remembered the days, even after almost 20 years with me, that there had been a hungry time.

Sultan, who had been an only cat, had a habit of leaving some of his breakfast for elevenses. He soon got over that after Misty came! I don't think they ever get over being without food in their formative years. Give dear Bernie a chin tickle from me, and a respectful curtsy to the Diva!

Lovely kittens. Just out of interest have they been treated for external parasites? I know you have wormed them, but on the first pic, 3 out of 4 of them look like they are scratching & the dark tortie in one photo looks like she has some hair loss around her face.

They are really cute though!
