Optimistic Tolly

OK, so we were a little late home today having been to a 'do' in Birmingham. We were speculating how much trouble we were going to be in saying that we hoped we wouldn't come back to a pile of 'prey' on the doorstep.

We turned into the drive and found Tolly staring out a deer!
How was he hoping to fit THAT through the cat door ?

I wonder if animals have internal lives of which we are entirely unaware - perhaps cat and deer were both contemplating Zeus.
