Friday

Morning, not many plans today except clean the floors, walk the dogs then I might make some soup.
Dinky, I only have one more episode to watch and no the dolls haven't arrived yet, perhaps today.
Hope your appointment goes well and your grumpy cats tempers improve, lol.
Pamela, hope you enjoyed your takeaway and your walk yesterday.

Re: Friday

Hi Shelley and Pamela,
Friday night here and very windy. I saw the hospital specialist today and he discussed my x-rays with me. Definitely a disc in my lower back which keeps moving and affecting the nerve in my left leg, but it now seems to have slipped back into place. If it is going to keep happening, then surgery could be an option or an injection to numb the nerve affected ,but at the moment I'm going to go to physio and do certain exercises. No tai chi, unfortunately ,at least for the time being.Later this afternoon, Janna and I went to pick up the cat carrier and then went on to the beach. The sea was beautiful but it was far too cold to go for a walk on the sand, so we took the bus back to a big shopping mall and had McDonalds. I haven't had McDonalds for about a year and I can't really say I enjoyed it much- it seemed to have no taste - but Janna loved it.

SHELLEY,hope your soup turns out well and the dogs have a nice walk.I watched episode 4 of Secrets tonight on TV and now have to wait until next Friday night to see the next episode, but gosh, I'm really enjoying it.Sorry your dolls haven't arrived as yet. Perhaps they'll come today AND no, my cats tempers have not improved in the slightest. Fur is literally flying. Don't know why they're so bad at the moment. They all gathered round to examine the new cat carrier though, and it turned into a fight between Dickens who was in the carrier and Freddie who wanted to get in.They really do fight too, with much hissing and yowling and lashing out at each other. It's certainly the real thing, not just play fighting.

PAMELA,I hope you enjoy your day off today. I bet you are wearing your new slippers. Was your takeaway yummy last night ? Birthdays never seem to last long enough, do they ? I do so hope you had a magical day and evening and enjoyed the walk with your friend.

Well I'm off to bed with Snoddy, who is waiting for me.Heard from my sister earlier who said that her cat, Eva, is continuing to eat and drink throughout the day but now has a sore leg and can't put weight on it. Mary will take her back to the vet tomorrow but I think she might get a second opinion from Michele, my own vet. I'm not terribly impressed with the vet clinic that Mary goes to as they seem to be very undecided about Eva and Mary never gets to see the same vet. She just sees whoever is on that day, and each vet says something different.

Have a great Friday everyone.

Re: Friday

Glad your disc seems to have slipped back into place, hopefully the physio will do it good.
I forgot to mention little Eva, hope they can keep her comfortable and enjoying life, good that she's eating and drinking.
We took in a little tabby a few years ago and she developed a tumour on her bottom, the vet didn't want to operate on an elderly cat but we were able to give her more life by treating any problems as they arose.
The vet kept a close eye on her to make sure she wasn't in pain.
He didn't charge us for most of the treatment.

Re: Friday

Hi Shelley and Dinky,

Shelley, glad that Eva is doing ok for now and still eating an drinking. What kind of soup are you making? My mother in law showed me how to make chicken and rice soup which i still havent tried to make on my own yet!! I will get round to it!!

Dinky so glad to hear that your disc has slipped back into place or now, you will be relieved that it isnt sore. I havent had a mcdonalds in a while, not a huge fan and only have them when i am near one if im hungry. D you live close to the beach? That is one of my dreams to stay near a beach to watch the waves swell in the sea and the noise of the ocean.

I went over to my sisters today and we went shopping. She bought me 2 jumpers that i liked for my birthday and i bought another one for me too. We just had some lunch, helped my niece with an unexpected college assignment and chatted. My dad came home from work so it was nice to see him as well. I really wish now that i stayed closer to them so i could see them more but will just need to make do with the 30/40min drive. Just relaxing tonight and having the left over from last nights pizza for dinner I am already in my PJ's for the night

Have a lovely evening everyone
