Julie - I've just been prescribed Nolvasan shampoo. It's mildly antiseptic and has a conditioner within it. I've been using it on Fifi and Darcy's acne'd chins but it leaves their fur soft and clean and rinses out very easily (OK - I went a bit beyond their chins ). I think it's available through pet shops also, but definitely through vets.
