Dear Kizzy,

Ah, I see. Between you and me, I am not a very tough boy (except when I am trying to battle my sister on the cat tree for top position!). Mostly I am just very confident and the dog follows suit. However, I have developed a strategy for getting away from pesky creatures that won't leave me be when they are feisty (ahem, ferrets!).
Please pass on to dear Pip that when the going gets tough, you must go UP!!! The vertical leap is a great advantage. Now when I was a kitten I didn't quite grasp this so when I was being bothered Mummy would pick me up and set me on higher ground where the little monsters couldn't reach me. Eventually, it clicked in my head to do it for myself

Love,
Solomon

Re weight, Leia's 14 pounds and not fat; she's just a big, long, tall cat.

Re: A few pix

Dear Solomon,

Yes, we do both use the vertical leap when needed. Our mum has installed a couple of gates which we can leap over, but pesky dog can't. He's so frustrated! We also jump up onto the table in the garden and think it probably looks like a life raft to our humans! Thanks for the advice, it's good to know that there are others quite literally in the same boat as we are.

with purrrrrrrs
Kizzy and Pip

Thanks reg weight, I guess it's just alarming to me how fast it happened!! That and I don't think he's done yet growing He is all solid though. And his fur's very thick, I feel at least a good half inch before I touch his skin. My living teddy bear

Re: A few pix

Sounds just like Pip - his fur is so thick and so silky, I just love to bury my nose in his fur. He was over 6 kilos last time he was weighed, but I do think he's lost a bit as he's a very active boy.
