no problem, maybe see if your vet can get some alu-trays or k/d for you to try? even if it's just a couple of tins.
Definitely agree though, most important that he is at least eating something! you can also get supplements for renal support too if your vet hasn't already mentioned?
'Renalzin' 'Ipakitine' and 'Rubenal' are the three I can think off of the top of my head. So if the diet doesn't go according to plan you could consider these, obviously speak to your vet first though.
Of course you can always combine the two together if you wished. My dog is currently on liver supplements as well as a hepatic diet which she doesn't eat greatly, so she does occasionally have other stuff to eat too. Just nice to know I have the back up of the supplements there to help her out.
