Updated Chooks

It's been a wee while since I posted some chook pics

Remember the one I found in a field - look at her now

Rosie Rita

This is one of the chicks we raised last year - he is a boy, but gorgeous so as long as he gets on with Jack he can stay. My wee rescue ex batt is behind him.
Beezlebub and Matilda

Bit blurry but taken through kitchen window!

Gorgeous photos CM ... I love Rosie Rita, I wonder if she's a grateful girlie and gives you her eggs to prove it? Are they laying regularly yet?

I get about 6 eggs a day from twelve hens. Just enough for me to have a lovely breakfast and to give to friends and neighbours. Over the summer months I'll get around nine each day. The range of colour is amazing from white through cream, pinkish browns, browns and v dark brow with dark spots. I also get blue and khaki green.

They look great, we were just talking yesterday about the chicks advertised for next month around here but we have a prey driven dog in the house so that'll have to wait.
