Funny looks

Well I have decided another tree is coming into the garden so to work out what approx height I want I went out into the garen and made a tree honest I did, I got a piece of fan shaped trellis from the shed a long cane about 8/10ft wired it on and then held the cane up so I could get an idea on the height. then added the cane onto another cane which I had secured in the ground My next door neighbours son in law thought I was really funny although my neighbours never batted an eyelid must be used to me I didn't mind him but my own brother in law said you're being odd - I ask you. Whats odd about that?
