Re: Sats

im really not 100% sure mags and i took them myself when i was at school
you take some when you are in each of the key stages, keystage 2,3 and 4 (thats what is was when i was at school anyway)when we did them the results helped decide what age level you were performing at in each subject (maths, english and science)the later sats that we did,key stage 4,decided what level we did for our GCSEs (foundation, intermediate or higher).
this is what is was when i was at school anyway,i think.

Re: Sats

Mags, you do them at the end of each Key Stage to see what ages your at so at the end of KS1 to see what level your at and to see how well the school is performing but they are supposed to be obolished soon anyhow so they arn't really important tbh!

Mags...

Do you mean what does S.A.T.S mean?

Well if you are questioning what I think you are then I am pretty sure it means Standard Attainment Tests

Re: Sats

To be honest with you, I think these tests are apalling! My Hayley will be sitting her SATS this month too. She's 7 for heavens sake! Children of this age should not be sitting exams.!!
