Not so hot Friday.

Good morning Pamela, Shelley and Yola.
Friday evening here and it's been a bit cooler today. I think you guys must have sent us over some colder weather .THANK YOU. !!!

Went back to my specialist today who told me to stop the exercises the physio has been giving me as they are aggravating my back. My disc seems to be moving again and is pressing on the nerves in my leg. I've been told I MUST take the medication plus some new stuff he gave me today specifically for nerve pain and I've also been given totally different exercises. I am to go back in 6 weeks or sooner if there is no improvement. Yola, I did suggest an osteopath but the doctor said that could be further down the track but not yet. He didn't elaborate and as he's not overly friendly, I didn't push the point.I will mention it again though, when I go back.He did say to get a lumbar roll, which I will use when I'm sitting down. I'll have to see if i can get one from a chemist or somewhere.

PAMELA, been thinking of you and hoping you are enjoying your week off and finding time for relaxing. Hopefully you've been able to get in a run or two with your friend, but if not, then perhaps the weather will clear for you over the weekend and you'll be able to get out then. Did you manage to get your new trainers ?

YOLA, how nice to be in the office on your own yesterday. Gosh you are doing a lot of walking and it seems to be paying off. Good for you.

SHELLEY, sounds as if you're all organised for next week work wise Hope the puppies are now feeling a lot better.

Well everyone, have a great Friday and stay warm and safe. I'm now going to watch Coronation Street which is on for a whole hour tonight.........YAH !!!!!

Re: Not so hot Friday.

Afternoon! Shouldn't our banner cats have lost their Christmas hats by now?

Today work continues from home. I have ordered a 'standing desk' which is ingenious - literally 4 bits of plywood which slot into each other and can either act as a standard laptop stand or a standing desk - it looks really stylish. I've already tried it and it works really well. It's really comfortable and I'm doing 20 mins standing/20 mins sitting at the moment.

We're debating on whether to have a curry tonight. Very disappointed with our long-standing supplier so going to try a new one - a restaurant which prides itself in super-authentic cuisine. The proof will be in the popadoms ; -)

I'm going to break for lunch now. Some stretches first and then cauliflower soup. Yum!

Good luck with the back Dinky. Have you looked online to see if there are any recommended exercises? Whatever you do though, do it gently!

Good afternoon Dinky and Yola,

Dinky i hope your new exercise and medicine help your back I cant imagine how sore it must be I see hubby when his back gone and how much pain he is in and its horrible to see him in pain. I really do hope you get some relief

Yola, its so annoying when your usual place standards drop. Glad your new desk works, we can have them in the office on top of our desks so we can sit or stand, i had one when i pulled my groin muscle and it really helped, i dont have it now as i found it uncomfortable to stand or periods of time once my leg healed. Enjoy your curry and cauliflower soup

It is hubbys birthday today so i have offered to buy him dinner from wherever he wants. No idea what we are having for dinner just now. I did buy him breakfast as a wee treat this morning as well.

I finally got out for a well needed run. We did 4 mile, first 2.5 was up hill but it was great!! Felt so good after it.

Had a few snuffle mat orders which i have made and got posted.

This is my last day on holiday, back to work on monday which i am ready for i think. Fed up with the snow that keeps coming!! we got more last night but not too much thankfully.
