St. George's Day Thread

Hi everyone. Gorgeous weather here today - and it's getting warmer this w/end, or so "they" say.

I escaped this morning and went to P@H - got the grooming wipes for Pip - he's just come in and he's dirty all over his white bits. Lord knows what he's been getting into. It's not serious yuk, just earthy dirt I think. Those wipes will come out later - good thing there's an offer on so I got 2 packs.

Went to Waitrose and bought one of their amazing rotisserie chickens, bought it home still warm and had a wonderful chicken and salad sandwich. Mind, the smell of the chicken in the kitchen is SO tempting. OH says we mustn't get it again, his mouth is watering!

I am remembering my Mum's childhood cat Bimbo today as he was born on St. George's Day and died on St. G's Day - I think 11 years later. Of course I never met him but my Mum loved him and used to tell me stories about him when I was a child. Bless you Bimbo.

Have a good day everyone.

Re: St. George's Day Thread

Hi, all. Lovely day starting out here: sunny, 16 C (60 F) light breezes. But rain forecast for most of the weekend ... naturally as my daylily order has been shipped and will arrive tomorrow ... too wet to plant! Ah well.

Hope all are OK and having a good day.

Ooops, sorry Angie, didn't see this and I posted a Daily too .... hope one of the mods will merge!

How does big Pip manage to get so messy ... is he digging for moles? I hope the wipes work; and has he figured out the cat flap yet?

Can't stop - flying Catsey visit.

Posted Dylan's news (or some of it) on another thread.

Not got much going on here - Dylan's having one of his "hunt all in sight" few days - the amount of prey he's brought us in the past couple of days it's unbelievable

Happy Saint Georges day to everyone who celebrates it !
Loved the story about Bimbo, angie. How strange that he was born and died on the same day.
Talking along the lines of Bimbo, i once had my birthday photo printed in a comic called Bimbo in the 60's. wouldn't be very pc now, would it
