Upstate NY

Westport

Anybody see anything odd about this tiny rail station at Westport New York State? It's on the main rail line between New York City and Montreal

I believe there is just one up train and one down train per day, each passing Wesport in the middle of the afternoon.

For the rest of the time the building is a local theatre!!! I think that is a fab idea - using the building sensibly. The door nearest the camera is the wardrobe room. Our train was late and I went in there and suggested they should isue needle and thread to the delayed passengers and get them puting in a few stiches while they wait!!

Is this anywhere near you Deb (aka Piddler)?

What a sensible idea of utilising the station DM!

Looking at it, it could almost be a village station in the UK couldn't it...very picturesque
