what a cute Elaine... she does look a lot like Bernie... do you know what they did to her hip?
the reason i ask is a cat that i had years and years ago... his name was john.. was hit by a car.... main injury was a very badly dislocated hip...all the ligaments were torn and the vet said that the hip would not stay back in the socket.... so they operated and cut the head of the femur off .. he was up and walking about very well just not allowed to climb/jump for quite a few weeks but he made a full recovery...i was amazed!

Dont know about the ligaments but yes she has had the head of the femur off and is healing very well.
