Thinking about gap toothed people being considered more sexy .......... first came across that in Chaucer's Wife of Bath's Tale .......... she had gapped teeth. Just imagine my embarrassment, there I was at age 17 with two front teeth that crossed over!!!

I had quite a Madonna-esque gap between my 2 front teeth up until 1990 when I had veneers put on because it was really causing me self esteem problems.

Actually wish I hadn't now as they're high maintenance and bloody expensive to replace if they crack!
